Dawn Richard, a former member of Danity Kane and Diddy-Dirty Money, has recently come forward with disturbing allegations against Sean “Diddy” Combs, claiming that he abused her and she witnessed him abuse Cassie and Kim Porter. Her accusations add to a growing list of claims against Diddy, which includes serious allegations of sexual harassment, physical assault, and emotional abuse and this time they’re believable – unlike the guy in prison who just won a 100M default judgement against Diddy.
Dawn’s lawsuit alleges that Diddy subjected her to sexual harassment throughout their working relationship. She claims that while they were recording music, Diddy created a hostile environment, often making inappropriate advances and using his power to manipulate and control her career.
Dawn — who was a winner on Diddy’s MTV show, “Making the Band,” in 2004 — claims in court documents that she was subjected to verbal abuse by Diddy, who allegedly called contestants “fat,” “ugly,” “bitches” and “hoes.”
Dawn describes several incidents where Diddy allegedly barged into her dressing room while she was naked, and touched her inappropriately
“Mr. Combs frequently smacked Ms. Richard’s bare buttocks and often commented on her body, noting that although she was ‘too skinny,’ she had an ‘ass,’” the lawsuit reads.
In another account, she recalls Diddy locking her in a car with heavily tinted windows for close to 2 hours. She remembers calling her father for help, who had to drive from Baltimore to New York to free her. And when her Dad confronted him, Diddy reportedly said, “Think about your daughter’s career,” which was a not so veiled threat about the consequences of speaking out.
Dawn’s allegations also include witnessing Diddy’s abusive behavior toward other women, particularly Cassie. She claims that on multiple occasions, she saw Diddy physically assault Cassie, including an incident where he threw her against a wall, choked her, and dragged her up the stairs while under the influence of drugs.
Dawn also alleges she saw Diddy throw a “scalding” pan of eggs on Cassie while yelling, “I’ve been asking you for my s–t; I can’t stand you bitch, you never do it right!”
Dawn additionally claims she saw Diddy punch Cassie in the face and attempt to strangle her with his bare hands inside his LA mansion.
When Dawn and her Dirty Money bandmate Kalenna Harper tried to support Ventura and urge her to leave Diddy, he allegedly threatened them, saying: “Y’all bitches don’t get in my relationship,” “Just make money and shut the f–k up” and “You bitches want to die today?” according to the lawsuit.
