The reality TV sphere recently witnessed a heated exchange between Married to Medicine star Toya Bush-Harris and Real Housewives of Atlanta (RHOA) alum Porsha Williams, ignited by comments on cosmetic enhancements.
Toya Bush-Harris’ Remarks
During an appearance on Page Six’s “Virtual Reali-Tea” podcast, Bush-Harris shared her thoughts on the RHOA Season 16 premiere. While she expressed enjoyment of the episode, she remarked, “It’s a lot of Botox and fillers,” drawing parallels to the appearances of Nicki Minaj and Lil’ Kim.
Porsha Williams’ Response
Williams addressed Bush-Harris’ comments on Instagram, expressing disappointment. She noted that the RHOA cast has consistently supported other Black-led shows on the network, including Married to Medicine. Williams found it disheartening for a fellow Black woman to critique the physical features of the Atlanta cast. She emphasized that while intra-show shading occurs, publicly tearing down another show is regrettable. Williams concluded with a call for unity: “Let’s all win.”
Bush-Harris’ Counter
In response, Bush-Harris highlighted past instances where Williams engaged in similar behavior, referencing a past altercation where Williams allegedly called another Black woman “ashy.” She also mentioned Williams’ previous remarks about the Married to Medicine franchise under a post by Phaedra Parks. Bush-Harris clarified that her interview presented a balanced view, acknowledging both positives and negatives, and cautioned against bandwagon criticism.
